A Different Kind of Migration

On July 24th, 1999 the Beaver Island Township Airport was the destination for 25 Cessna Cardinals. The Cardinal Club was having a national convention at Boyne Mt. during that weekend and despite the weather had over 75 planes attending.

The Cessna Cardinal is a single engine, high wing aircraft that was produced from 1968 to 1978.  With a very sleek design it was a popular plane with over 2700 produced.

Around 60 pilots and friends were transported to St. James and enjoyed an afternoon of shopping, touring, and dining. A good time was enjoyed by all and we look forward to a return visit during upcoming conventions.
